Westport is located on Connecticut’s Gold Coast and is home to 28,000 residents. Formerly known as ‘Green’s Farm’ due to the farming families that settled here, Westport eventually turned into a bustling shipping center by the 19th century and a destination for artists, musicians and writers by the 20th century. Nowadays, residents enjoy this scenic waterfront town with its proximity to Manhattan, fine dining and shopping and recreational water activities on the Saugatuck River and the Long Island Sound.
